Ulan Kabiga vs Banji Barus

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Safari Park Hotel, Nairobi,  taking place on 10/08/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Kenya-Nairobi Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ulan Kabiga (9 - 5) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Banji Barus(11 - 1) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Kabiga weighed in at 107 pounds And 14 ounces, while Barus weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Yobachi Rubia, and the three ringside judges are Armani Kipchoim, Kashif Haque and Elliot Lumumba.  

Round 1: 

Barus sidesteps to the left of his opponent and drives a cross into Kabiga's body.  
Barus advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Kabiga tries to keep the action at long range and hits home with a cross.
