Boxing Daily Report from the Latvia Boxing promoted show at Igor Allikas Gym, Riga,  taking place on 12/08/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Viasat Sport Baltic, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gennady Bilsons (10 - 0) who hails from Riga, Latvia and Alex Brandel(2 - 10 - 3) from Stockholm, Sweden.  Both Bilsons and Brandel weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Pyotr Dancis, and the three ringside judges are Viktor Gargailis, Igor Vainags and Borya Kede.  

Round 1: 

Bilsons steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Brandel is whaling away with hooks, but Bilsons keeps his defence tight.
