Dai Kimmey vs Sam Merrick

Boxing Daily Report from the T5 Promotions promoted show at T5 Gym, North Shore,  taking place on 13/07/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Dai Kimmey (4 - 0) who hails from Auckland, New Zealand and Sam Merrick(6 - 6 - 2) from Hamilton, New Zealand.  Both Kimmey and Merrick weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is James Woodburn, and the three ringside judges are George Brain, Clinton Martie and Cole Hathorn.  

Round 1: 

Kimmey connects with a cross.

Merrick closes the distance and throws a left hook, but Kimmey holds on to his opponent.  Kimmey is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Kimmey's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
