Ivan Kazakov vs Konstantin Grigorev

Boxing Daily Report from the Mbalula Promotions promoted show at Mbalula Gym, Yekaterinburg,  taking place on 30/07/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Russia-Sverdlovsk Oblast Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Eurosport Russia, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ivan Kazakov (6 - 6 - 3) who hails from Yekaterinburg, Russia and Konstantin Grigorev(15 - 0) from Yekaterinburg, Russia.  Both Kazakov and Grigorev weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fedor Tunick, and the three ringside judges are Sergey Linge, Lazar Darin and Dmitriy Volkonsky.  

Round 1: 

Grigorev gets on the inside and digs in a left hook to Kazakov's body.  Grigorev clinches his opponent.  Grigorev leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Grigorev wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Kazakov dabs at his face checking for damage.
