Fidel Cara vs Quiqui Casiano

Boxing Daily Report from the Rattlesnake Promotions promoted show at Fonde Recreation Center, Houston,  taking place on 27/07/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Fidel Cara (17(15) - 0) who hails from Ponce, Puerto Rico and Quiqui Casiano(4 - 8 - 2) from Managua, Nicaragua.  Both Cara and Casiano weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Arthur Kinna, and the three ringside judges are Danny Henderson, Sid Hackney and Spencer Aurelio.  

Round 1: 

Cara gets on the inside and throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the punch.  Cara ties up his opponent.  Cara pushes his forearm into Casiano's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Cara to stop fouling.  
Cara steps inside and hits home with a right hook.  
Cara lands a sharp jab.  
Cara lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Cara holds on to his opponent.  Cara leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Cara's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Cara drives a left hook into Casiano's liver.  
Cara lands a right hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head.  Cara clinches his opponent.  Cara is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Cara hits home with a hard jab.  
Casiano connects with a cross.  
Casiano steps inside.  Cara pivots to the side of his opponent and drives a stinging right hook into Casiano's body.  
Cara is on target with a stinging left hook to Casiano's liver.  
Cara tries to land a left hook, but Casiano blocks the shot and counters with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Cara advances into close range and walks his opponent into the red corner.  Cara lands a right hook.  
Cara throws a left uppercut, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Cara holds on to his opponent.  Cara is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Cara lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Cara lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Cara feints a right hook, and then attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Casiano time to recover.  
Cara lands a jab followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Casiano walks Cara into the corner.  Cara drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Cara lands a sharp right uppercut.  
Cara lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Cara is on target with a left uppercut.  
Casiano throws a left hook, but Cara ties up his opponent.  Cara leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Cara tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Casiano's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Cara to stop fouling.  
Casiano pivots to the side of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Casiano's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Casiano's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Cara digs in a left hook to Casiano's body.  
Cara steps inside.  Cara pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Cara lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Casiano lands a left hook.  
Cara lands a left hook.  
Casiano closes the distance.  Cara throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Cara clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Cara pushes his forearm into Casiano's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Cara.  
Cara drives a firm left uppercut into Casiano's body.  
Casiano steps inside and throws a right hook, but Cara clinches his opponent.  Cara throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Cara connects with a left hook.  
Cara advances into close range and connects with a right uppercut.  
Cara steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Cara clinches his opponent.  Cara leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Cara hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 
Cara lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Cara is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Cara is on target with a BRUTAL left hook.  CASIANO IS HURT!  Casiano quickly recovers.

Cara lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Casiano quickly recovers.

Cara closes the distance and digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.

Cara senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Cara hits home with a potent cross.  CASIANO IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 8.  
Cara walks Casiano into a corner.  Cara connects with a mean right uppercut.  CASIANO IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  THE COUNT REACHES 10, BUT CASIANO IS UNABLE TO GET UP!  The winner by KO is Cara!
