Boxing Daily Report from the Smoking Joe promoted show at Belasco Theatre, Los Angeles,  taking place on 06/08/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are David Spade (5 - 0) who hails from Bakersfield, USA and Xavier Montera(8 - 7) from Houston, USA.  Spade weighed in at 167 pounds and 10 ounces, while Montera weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Noah Rankin, and the three ringside judges are Lewis Suttie, Daniel Weir and Darryl Bruce.  

Round 1: 

Montera throws a left hook, but Spade clinches his opponent.  Spade pushes his forearm into Montera's face.  The referee warns Spade and breaks the clinch.

Spade steps inside and lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Spade forces Montera to retreat into a corner.  Spade hits home with a sharp right hook.
