Sam Kalanzi vs Harry Okurut

Boxing Daily Report from the Manyama Promotions promoted show at Kampala Rasheed, Kampala,  taking place on 02/08/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Uganda Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on UTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Sam Kalanzi (17 - 1 - 1) who hails from Kampala, Uganda and Harry Okurut(9 - 0 - 1) from Kampala, Uganda.  Both Kalanzi and Okurut weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rehman Shaikh, and the three ringside judges are John Ludigomkasa, Lloyd Araptany and Onaedo Odur.  

Round 1: 

Kalanzi attempts to land a jab, but Okurut sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.
