Rashid Sadiq vs Marques Bakabulindi

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Uganda-Northern Region promoted show at Xhosas Kiyingi Gym, Gulu,  taking place on 02/08/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Uganda-Northern Region Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rashid Sadiq (6 - 8 - 3) who hails from Gulu, Uganda and Marques Bakabulindi(4 - 0 - 1) from Lira, Uganda.  Both Sadiq and Bakabulindi weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Duante Mukiibi, and the three ringside judges are Alastair Pbitek, Quarren Adubango and Chiamaka Mugasa.  

Round 1: 

Sadiq steps away from his opponent and lands a cross.  
Bakabulindi sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Sadiq hits home with a cross.  
Bakabulindi pivots to the right of his opponent.  Bakabulindi throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.
