Ben Strachan vs Sid Lopez

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Texas promoted show at San Antonio Neagle, San Antonio,  taking place on 02/08/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the USA-Texas Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Now TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ben Strachan (10 - 5) who hails from El Paso, USA and Sid Lopez(10 - 6 - 1) from Houston, USA.  Strachan weighed in at 135 pounds, while Lopez weighed in at 134 pounds And 2 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Henry Messer, and the three ringside judges are Brett Sproule, Corey Barnes and Orlando Merlin.  

Round 1: 

Strachan leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Lopez accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Strachan.
