Rafael Penano vs Jiro Shimomura

Boxing Daily Report from the Maloian Promotions promoted show at Royal Hotel Hiroshima, Hiroshima,  taking place on 12/08/2024:

Clearly Maloian Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rafael Penano (5 - 0) who hails from Quezon City, Philippines and Jiro Shimomura(3 - 9) from Sendai, Japan.  Both Penano and Shimomura weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ichiro Mino, and the three ringside judges are Kenji Shimoda, Satoshi Sakamoto and Shinji Ando.
