Leo Gray vs Yoshi Amaya

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Aichi promoted show at Higashiyama Park Tennis Center, Nagoya,  taking place on 11/08/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky-A Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Leo Gray (14(12) - 0) who hails from Brampton, Canada and Yoshi Amaya(3 - 3 - 1) from Tokyo, Japan.  Gray weighed in at 147 pounds, while Amaya weighed in at 146 pounds And 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Yasushi Jin, and the three ringside judges are Hajime Miki, Kazuhiko Murakami and Raiden Matsui.  

Round 1: 

Amaya pivots to the side of his opponent.  Gray lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Gray is looking to close the distance and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Amaya almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Gray is on target with a spiteful jab.  
Amaya is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Gray lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Amaya almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Gray cuts off the ring, trapping Amaya in a neutral corner.  Gray lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND AMAYA IS DOWN!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but Amaya cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is Gray!
