Montenegro Galano vs Quinto Montijo

Boxing Daily Report from the Cherry picking promotion’s promoted show at La Rural Exhibition Center, Buenos Aires,  taking place on 03/08/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Montenegro Galano (5 - 0 - 1) who hails from Buenos Aires, Argentina and Quinto Montijo(5 - 7 - 1) from La Plata, Argentina.  Both Galano and Montijo weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ponce Ferro, and the three ringside judges are Joaquin Aceves, Nasario Lorenzana and Rodrigo Baro.  

Round 1: 

Montijo tries to keep the action at long range and is on target with a jab.  
Galano throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.
