Tim Reece vs Alejandro Pena

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at City West Hotel, Dublin,  taking place on 16/08/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Setanta Sports, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Tim Reece (8 - 0 - 1(NC)) who hails from Bradford, UK and Alejandro Pena(6 - 6 - 4) from Tegucigalpa, Honduras.  Both Reece and Pena weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Leon Mohan, and the three ringside judges are Lewis MacNevin, Sam Mulryan and Eoghan Markey.  

Round 1: 

Reece advances into close range.  Pena pivots to the left of his opponent.  Pena throws a left hook, but Reece holds on to his opponent.  Reece leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Pena switches the action to the outside and is on target with a cross.  
Reece lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Pena pivots to the right of his opponent.  Reece lands a sharp cross to his opponents body.  
Reece closes the distance.  Reece quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Reece is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  Reece clinches his opponent.  Reece is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Reece to stop fouling.  
Reece lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Reece advances into close range and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Reece quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Reece lands a left hook followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head.  Reece clinches his opponent.  Reece throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Reece drives a sharp right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Reece steps inside and lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Reece is looking to close the distance and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Pena is looking to keep his distance.  Reece hits home with a solid overhand left.

Reece walks Pena down, trapping him on the ropes.  Reece lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Reece holds on to his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Reece sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Reece is looking to close the distance and hits home with a right uppercut.  
Pena hits home with a cross.  
Reece advances into close range and lands a firm right hook.
