Niall MacNeill vs Shane Ahearne

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Royal Dublin Society, Dublin,  taking place on 23/08/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on RET One, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Niall MacNeill (15 - 0) who hails from Tallaght, Ireland and Shane Ahearne(9 - 3) from Dublin, Ireland.  MacNeill weighed in at 147 pounds, while Ahearne weighed in at 146 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Lewis Carroll, and the three ringside judges are Ross Gauld, Lewis MacNevin and Fionn Donnell.  

Round 1: 

Ahearne gets on the inside.  Ahearne backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  MacNeill steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  MacNeill lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.
