Jose Matos vs Cortez Alcazar

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Puerto Rico-San Juan promoted show at San Juan Gonzalez, San Juan,  taking place on 08/08/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Puerto Rico-San Juan Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Puerto Rico Sports Network, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jose Matos (9 - 1) who hails from San Juan, Puerto Rico and Cortez Alcazar(7 - 5 - 4) from San Juan, Puerto Rico.  Both Matos and Alcazar weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Quico Sereno, and the three ringside judges are Cortez Redondo, Quico Sereno and Zelipe Sarinana.
