William Telfer vs Johnny Drummond

Boxing Daily Report from the Smoking Joe promoted show at Belasco Theatre, Los Angeles,  taking place on 19/08/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are William Telfer (5(2) - 0) who hails from New York City, USA and Johnny Drummond(8 - 5) from New Orleans, USA.  Both Telfer and Drummond weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Michael Pride, and the three ringside judges are Vince Aitken, John Vaughn and Michael Pride.

Telfer lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Drummond throws a right hook, but Telfer ties up his opponent.  Telfer leans on his opponent using all his weight. Telfer tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Drummond's kidney. 
Drummond hits home with a left hook.  
Telfer lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Telfer lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Telfer is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a jab.

Drummond tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a CRUSHING cross.  IT LOOKS LIKE DRUMMOND WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!

Drummond steps inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Telfer on the ropes.  Telfer lands a left uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Telfer knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Telfer lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  He then lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND DRUMMOND IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.
