Duncan Poovey vs Kris Lewison

Boxing Daily Report from the GAT Management promoted show at VIP Boxing Club, Gaineau,  taking place on 14/08/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Duncan Poovey (7 - 0) who hails from Toronto, Canada and Kris Lewison(4 - 2 - 2) from Regina, Canada.  Poovey weighed in at 107 pounds and 8 ounces, while Lewison weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Erec Adore, and the three ringside judges are Johnny Smith, Louis Gillespie and Elliot Girardot.  

Round 1: 

Poovey closes the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Poovey ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Poovey pushes his forearm into Lewison's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
