Montrose Herard vs James Lockard

Boxing Daily Report from the GAT Management promoted show at VIP Boxing Club, Gaineau,  taking place on 14/08/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Montrose Herard (6 - 0) who hails from Gaineau, Canada and James Lockard(8 - 5 - 3) from Winnipeg, Canada.  Both Herard and Lockard weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Louis Gillespie, and the three ringside judges are Erec Adore, Johnny Smith and Elliot Girardot.  

Round 1: 

Herard steps inside.  Herard pivots to the side of his opponent and lands two right hook's to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Herard sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by two right hook's to the body.  
Herard closes the distance.  Herard pivots from in front of his opponent.  Lockard attempts to land a left hook, but Herard sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Herard tries to step out of his opponents range.  Herard feints a jab, but Lockard is not fooled and responds with a right uppercut.  
Herard connects with a cross.  
Herard advances into close range.  Herard pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Lockard has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
