Alejandro Almeda vs Cipriano Lacayo

Boxing Daily Report from the Cestrian promotions promoted show at Palau de Congressos de Catalunya, Barcelona,  taking place on 31/07/2024:

Clearly Cestrian promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Alejandro Almeda (6 - 0) who hails from Seville, Spain and Cipriano Lacayo(4 - 8 - 1) from Cordoba, Spain.  Almeda weighed in at 134 pounds and 15 ounces, while Lacayo weighed in at 134 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Rodrigo Pacifico, and the three ringside judges are Alejandro Lince, Juan Can and Guillermo Algarin.  

Round 1: 

Almeda closes the distance and throws a right uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.
