Forrest Noel vs Laurent Diago

Boxing Daily Report from the Wigwam Promotions promoted show at Sylvain Bugul Gym, Dakar,  taking place on 07/09/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Forrest Noel (10 - 0) who hails from Dakar, Senegal and Laurent Diago(4 - 7 - 4) from Dakar, Senegal.  Both Noel and Diago weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Josce Vanier, and the three ringside judges are Rush de Brosse, Sid Soumah and Holland Mandiang.  

Round 1: 

Noel gets on the inside and throws a left hook, but is not on target.  Noel ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Noel pushes his forearm into Diago's face.  The referee warns Noel and breaks the clinch.  
Noel tries to land a jab, but Diago parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Noel is looking to close the distance and attempts to land a right hook, but Diago parries the shot and counters with a cross.

Diago backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Noel tries to tag Diago on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  Noel hits home with a left hook.
