Boxing Daily Report from the Elite Prizefighters promoted show at Devonshire House Hotel, Liverpool,  taking place on 26/07/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Charles No Tears Mears (2 - 0) who hails from Coventry, UK and Rodric Cook(0 - 2) from London, UK.  Both Mears and Cook weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Malcolm Apted, and the three ringside judges are Robert Ewings, Mike Burchardt and John McQuay.

Mears advances into close range and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  Mears clinches his opponent.  Mears is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Mears's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Mears.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.

Mears is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Mears digs in a stinging left hook to Cook's liver.
