Alejandro Matute vs Iago Gerardo

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Paraguay-Central promoted show at San Lorenzo Baylon, San Lorenzo,  taking place on 13/08/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the South American Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Alejandro Matute (17(2) - 0) who hails from San Lorenzo, Paraguay and Iago Gerardo(14(2) - 4(1)) from Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia.  Both Matute and Gerardo weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Angel Mate, and the three ringside judges are Quico Milian, Gabriel Topete and Esteban Borjon.
