Boxing Daily Report from the AI Zimbabwe-Harare promoted show at Harare Basketball Club, Harare,  taking place on 15/08/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Southern African Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Joy TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Laken Chikunga (11 - 3 - 2) who hails from Umlazi, South Africa and Essien Chigumbura(11 - 3) from Harare, Zimbabwe.  Both Chikunga and Chigumbura weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Stephen Mubako, and the three ringside judges are Bryn Chinmano, Patrick Chung and Oliver Magwa.
