Jing Chiao vs Hiroki Kusumoto

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Fukuoka promoted show at ACROS Arena Hall, Fukuoka,  taking place on 23/08/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jing Chiao (6 - 0) who hails from Shenyang, China and Hiroki Kusumoto(3 - 7 - 1) from Kobe, Japan.  Both Chiao and Kusumoto weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Iwao Kusumoto, and the three ringside judges are Goro Koizumi, Ryo Hora and Akira Umemoto.  

Round 1: 

Kusumoto is looking to close the distance.  Chiao drives a right hook into Kusumoto's ribs.  
Chiao gets on the inside and is on target with a right uppercut to Kusumoto's ribs.  Chiao holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Chiao pushes his forearm into Kusumoto's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Chiao about fouling.
