Ollie Davies vs Davie Skilling

Boxing Daily Report from the Rattlesnake Promotions promoted show at Dallas Petroleum Club, Dallas,  taking place on 17/08/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Ollie Davies (8 - 0) who hails from Reno, USA and Davie Skilling(1 - 2 - 1) from Albuquerque, USA.  Davies weighed in at 238 pounds and 12 ounces, while Skilling weighed in at 249 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Chris Suit, and the three ringside judges are Paul Mings, Joel Abraham and Joel Abraham.  

Round 1: 

Davies lands a spiteful jab.

Skilling is looking to keep his distance and throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Skilling cuts off the ring, trapping Davies on the ropes.  Davies lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Davies gets on the inside.  Davies sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Skilling wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Davies dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Davies.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.

Skilling sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Davies lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.
