Edward Kenrick vs John Heggins

Boxing Daily Report from the T5 Promotions promoted show at T5 Gym, North Shore,  taking place on 10/08/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Edward Kenrick (5 - 0) who hails from Auckland, New Zealand and John Heggins(1 - 6 - 1) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  Kenrick weighed in at 112 pounds, while Heggins weighed in at 111 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Mark Vaux, and the three ringside judges are Glynn Telford, Hani Rarere and Rob Horsburgh.  

Round 1: 

Heggins advances into close range.  Kenrick connects with a right hook.  Kenrick clinches his opponent.  Kenrick is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Kenrick about fouling.

Kenrick is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  Kenrick ties up his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
