Jordan Butler vs Bob Mullen

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Crumlin Boxing Club, Dublin,  taking place on 09/08/2024:

Clearly Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Jordan Butler (1 - 0) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Bob Mullen(0 - 3) from Stoke, UK.  Both Butler and Mullen weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jason Farrell, and the three ringside judges are Roy Spalding, Lewis MacNevin and Will Nolan.  

Round 1: 

Butler lands a jab.  
Butler tries to keep the action at long range.  Butler quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Mullen lands a right uppercut.  
Butler drives a right hook into Mullen's ribcage.  
Mullen lands a cross.

Butler lands a left uppercut.  
Butler switches the action to the outside.  Butler feints a left, and then connects with a stinging cross.  
Butler is looking to keep his distance.  Butler circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Mullen throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Mullen walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Mullen attempts to land a left uppercut, but Butler sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Butler tries to step out of his opponents range and connects with a cross.  
Mullen cuts off the ring, trapping Butler in the corner.  Butler attempts to land a left hook, but Mullen sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Butler steps away from his opponent and hits home with a cross.

Mullen steps inside and manages to force Butler into the corner.  Butler lands a left hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head.

Butler lands a stinging cross.  
Butler tries to step out of his opponents range and connects with an overhand right.

Butler feints a cross, but Mullen is not fooled and responds with a left hook.

Mullen advances into close range.  Butler connects with a right hook.  Mullen wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Butler has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Butler switches the action to the outside.  Butler feints a cross, and then lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Mullen connects with a right hook.  
Mullen drives a cross into Butler's body.
