Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Salthill Leisureland Complex, Galway,  taking place on 10/08/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Daniel Whalen (1 - 0) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Fionn McCall(3 - 1) from Dun Laoghaire, Ireland.  Both Whalen and McCall weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jordan Byrnes, and the three ringside judges are Niall Monday, Fionn Madden and Chris Carroll.  

Round 1: 

Whalen feints a jab, tricking McCall into countering with a left uppercut.  Whalen is waiting for the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Whalen advances into close range and is on target with a left hook to McCall's body.  
Whalen closes the distance and drives a sharp right uppercut into his opponents body.  
McCall hits home with a left hook.
