Harendra Karanth vs Akil Soni

Boxing Daily Report from the AI India-Delhi promoted show at Taj Palace, New Delhi,  taking place on 22/08/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the India-Delhi Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TEN Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Harendra Karanth (12 - 1) who hails from New Delhi, India and Akil Soni(8 - 4 - 5) from New Delhi, India.  Both Karanth and Soni weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Suneil Dhingra, and the three ringside judges are Malik Baten, Azam Shams and Jyotish Manda.
