Nuru Verjee vs Rob Wanyonyi

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Kasarani indoor arena, Nairobi,  taking place on 07/09/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Kenya Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Nuru Verjee (10 - 3(1) - 1) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Rob Wanyonyi(16 - 3 - 1) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Both Verjee and Wanyonyi weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Matt Kanyoro, and the three ringside judges are Sam Waiyaki, Armani Kipchoim and Sam Konchellah.
