Mick Malcom vs Chris Winnie

Boxing Daily Report from the Rattlesnake Promotions promoted show at Rattlesnake Gym, Arlington,  taking place on 10/08/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Mick Malcom (8 - 0) who hails from Sacremento, USA and Chris Winnie(4 - 4) from Las Vegas, USA.  Malcom weighed in at 174 pounds And 9 ounces, while Winnie weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Nicholas Wynne, and the three ringside judges are Corey Barnes, Johnny Cornejo and Floyd Celestino.  

Round 1: 

Winnie pivots to the side of his opponent.  Winnie attempts to land a jab, but Malcom sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Winnie hits home with a cross.  
Winnie pivots to the right of his opponent.  Malcom finds the target with a jab.  
Malcom feints a cross, tricking Winnie into throwing a right hook counter.  Malcom avoids the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Malcom advances into close range and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Winnie pivots to the right of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Malcom lands a hard jab.  
Malcom lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Malcom lands a jab to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a jab to the head.  
Malcom walks his opponent into the corner.  Malcom lands a left hook.  
Winnie tries to land a jab, but Malcom blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Malcom is looking to keep the action on the outside and tries to land a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Malcom contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Winnie is on target with a cross.  
Malcom is looking to close the distance.  Malcom pivots from in front of his opponent.  Winnie attempts to land a left hook, but Malcom sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Malcom attempts to land a left uppercut, but Winnie sidesteps and counters with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Winnie quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a left uppercut.  
Malcom sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Malcom advances into close range.  Winnie connects with a left hook.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Malcom dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Malcom pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Malcom is looking to close the distance.  Winnie throws a right hook, but Malcom clinches his opponent.  Malcom is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Malcom to stop fouling.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Winnie's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.

Malcom tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Winnie behind the head. The ref breaks Malcom's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  Malcom attempts to land a right uppercut, but Winnie parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Malcom's body.  
Malcom hits home with a right uppercut.  
Malcom is looking to keep his distance and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Winnie advances into close range.  Malcom pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
Malcom quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut to Winnie's body.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Winnie has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused bad swelling  around the left eye.  
Winnie waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  Malcom digs in a left uppercut to Winnie's body.  
Malcom steps away from his opponent and lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Winnie connects with a cross.  
Malcom lands a jab.  
Malcom hits home with a right hook.  
Winnie sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Malcom digs in a right uppercut to Winnie's ribcage.
