Amer Farooqui vs Abhay Sankar

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Indira Gandhi Arena - KD Jadhav Indoor Hall, New Delhi,  taking place on 24/08/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the South Asian Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Star Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Amer Farooqui (9 - 1 - 3) who hails from Ahmedabad, India and Abhay Sankar(5 - 0 - 1) from Ahmedabad, India.  Farooqui weighed in at 175 pounds, while Sankar weighed in at 174 pounds and 1 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Suneil Dhingra, and the three ringside judges are Syed Ghazal, Gautam Trivedi and Vijay Kedia.
