Boxing Daily Report from the Asante Promotions promoted show at Mexicali Belen, Mexicali,  taking place on 26/08/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Mexico-Baja California Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TVC Deportes, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Carlos Covarrubias (8 - 0) who hails from Tijuana, Mexico and Agapetus Ocon(10 - 1 - 1) from Tijuana, Mexico.  Covarrubias weighed in at 241 pounds And 11 ounces, while Ocon weighed in at 233 pounds And 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Carlos Leano, and the three ringside judges are Fausto Cayetano, Vicente Navarra and Baltasar Barrio.
