Raeland Wacik vs Shayan Abdo

Boxing Daily Report from the Rooq Promotions promoted show at Rooq Gym, Kuala Lumpur,  taking place on 12/08/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Raeland Wacik (9 - 0) who hails from Medan, Indonesia and Shayan Abdo(4 - 2 - 2) from Shah Alam, Malaysia.  Wacik weighed in at 146 pounds And 12 ounces, while Abdo weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rehman Saadeh, and the three ringside judges are Gazi Sinai, Gazi Sinai and Rehman Saadeh.  

Round 1: 

Wacik advances into close range.  Wacik pivots to the left of his opponent.  Abdo throws a right uppercut, but Wacik clinches his opponent.  Wacik leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Wacik's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Wacik digs in a left hook to Abdo's ribs.

As Abdo tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Wacik dabs at his face checking for damage.  Wacik has taken some damage there.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.
