Michael Shanklin vs Owen Hinerangi

Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Canterbury promoted show at Christchurch Cathey, Christchurch,  taking place on 27/08/2024:

Clearly AI New Zealand-Canterbury have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand-Canterbury Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Michael Shanklin (6 - 6 - 3) who hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and Owen Hinerangi(1 - 4 - 3) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  Both Shanklin and Hinerangi weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Richard Kier, and the three ringside judges are Ikei Kahu, Stephen Suite and Paul Moad.

Hinerangi pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a jab.
