Dave Hush vs Bryan Mattie

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Gold Gym, Brisbane,  taking place on 16/08/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Dave Hush (5 - 0) who hails from Perth, Australia and Bryan Mattie(5 - 4) from Sydney, Australia.  Both Hush and Mattie weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is James Westwood, and the three ringside judges are Barry Forbes, Scott Martin and Mark Elgin.  

Round 1: 

Hush finds the target with a stinging jab.  
Hush tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Mattie lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.

Mattie closes the distance and walks Hush down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Hush lands a left hook.  
Hush quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits the target with a hard jab.
