Umut Kalkan vs Doruk Vural

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Ankara Atatürk Sport Hall, Ankara,  taking place on 07/09/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Turkey-Ankara Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Umut Kalkan (8 - 0) who hails from Ankara, Turkey and Doruk Vural(11 - 2) from Ankara, Turkey.  Kalkan weighed in at 129 pounds and 15 ounces, while Vural weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Metin Kaptan, and the three ringside judges are Ahmet Akagunduz, Ilker Gruda and Altan Rustu.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Vural dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Vural.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
