Fidel Cara vs Lisandro Renteria

Boxing Daily Report from the Rattlesnake Promotions promoted show at Palladium Ballroom, Dallas,  taking place on 07/09/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Fidel Cara (18(16) - 0) who hails from Ponce, Puerto Rico and Lisandro Renteria(4 - 1 - 3) from Maracaibo, Venezuela.  Cara weighed in at 112 pounds, while Renteria weighed in at 111 pounds and 3 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Noah Fergusson, and the three ringside judges are Sid Hackney, Henry Messer and James Crum.  

Round 1: 

Cara gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Cara clinches his opponent.  Cara pushes his forearm into Renteria's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Cara connects with a firm right uppercut.  
Cara steps inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Renteria in the corner.  Cara hits home with a sharp right hook.  Cara ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Cara pushes his forearm into Renteria's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Cara about fouling.  
Cara lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Cara connects with a left hook.  Cara attempts to land a right hook, but Renteria blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Cara lands a WICKED right hook.  RENTERIA WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Cara clinches his opponent.  Cara leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Renteria quickly recovers. 
Cara gets on the inside and throws a right hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Cara clinches his opponent.  Renteria pushes his forearm into Cara's face.  The ref breaks Cara's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Cara lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Cara lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Cara lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Cara lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Cara holds on to his opponent.  Cara leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Cara drives a right hook into Renteria's body.  
Cara quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a jab, cross and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Cara advances into close range and lands a solid left hook.  Cara ties up his opponent.  Cara leans on his opponent using all his weight. Cara pushes his forearm into Renteria's face.  The referee warns Cara and breaks the clinch.  
Cara lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Renteria quickly recovers. 
Renteria is looking to close the distance.  Cara digs in a firm right uppercut to Renteria's body.
