Jamar Phiri vs Gregor Nyagumbo

Boxing Daily Report from the Quick Tan Promotions promoted show at Ticketpro Dome, Johannesburg,  taking place on 27/09/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SABC1, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jamar Phiri (14 - 3) who hails from Khayelitsha, South Africa and Gregor Nyagumbo(16(1) - 2 - 1) from Harare, Zimbabwe.  Phiri weighed in at 130 pounds, while Nyagumbo weighed in at 129 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Clinton Nyauza, and the three ringside judges are Dillon Strydom, Uba Akamenya and Tlou Nqakula.
