Denzel Bitature vs Bilal Haque

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Uganda-Kampala District promoted show at Kampala Oromait, Kampala,  taking place on 06/09/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Uganda-Kampala District Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Denzel Bitature (6 - 8(1) - 2) who hails from Kampala, Uganda and Bilal Haque(3 - 8(1) - 4) from Kampala, Uganda.  Both Bitature and Haque weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rob Kaana, and the three ringside judges are John Wabwiremangen, Robert Kabukuru and Salim Kalemazikusoka.  

Round 1: 

Bitature steps away from his opponent and lands an overhand right.  
Bitature steps inside.  Haque hits home with a left hook.  
Bitature is on target with a right hook.  
Bitature is looking to close the distance and forces Haque to back into a corner.  Bitature quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  As Bitature tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Haque dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Haque tries to land a left hook, but Bitature sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Bitature lands a left hook.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Haque.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.
