Davorin Brgan vs Alojzije Alajbeg

Boxing Daily Report from the Ognjen promoted show at Ivica Bekic Gym, Split,  taking place on 03/09/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Davorin Brgan (1 - 0) who hails from Zagreb, Croatia and Alojzije Alajbeg(6 - 6 - 1) from Rijeka, Croatia.  Both Brgan and Alajbeg weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dragutin Jelavic, and the three ringside judges are Branko Ðurin, Ognjan Mrakužic and Jerko Cesarec.  

Round 1: 

Alajbeg advances into close range and throws a left hook, but Brgan clinches his opponent.  Alajbeg is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Brgan pushes his forearm into Alajbeg's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Brgan to stop fouling.  
Alajbeg steps inside.  Brgan hits home with a right hook.  
Alajbeg sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Brgan connects with a stinging left hook.  
Brgan hits home with a right hook.  
Brgan connects with a left uppercut.  
Brgan lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  Brgan holds on to his opponent.  Alajbeg is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Brgan closes the distance and tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Alajbeg tries to land a right hook, but Brgan blocks the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Brgan advances into close range and hits home with a stinging left hook.  
Alajbeg hits home with a right hook.  
Brgan is looking to close the distance and drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.

Brgan steps inside.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Alajbeg.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Alajbeg throws a right hook, but Brgan holds on to his opponent.  Alajbeg hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Brgan is on target with a stinging left uppercut.  
Brgan closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Brgan lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Brgan lands a jab.  
Brgan lands a sharp left hook.
