Connor Myres vs James Treacy

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Stadium of Light Conference Centre, Sunderland,  taking place on 07/09/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Connor Myres (9 - 0) who hails from Manchester, USA and James Treacy(8 - 6(1) - 1) from Portsmouth, UK.  Both Myres and Treacy weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Arran Bogle, and the three ringside judges are Ronald McAlinden, Kenzie Dredge and Noah Adams.  

Round 1: 

Myres closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Myres lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  As Treacy tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Myres has taken some damage there.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Myres sidesteps to the left of his opponent and drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Myres steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.
