Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Africa-KwaZulu-Natal promoted show at Umlazi Malherbe, Umlazi,  taking place on 12/09/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Southern African Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are David Saomba (8 - 1) who hails from Harare, Zimbabwe and Jevonte Sono(10 - 2 - 2) from Durban, South Africa.  Saomba weighed in at 140 pounds, while Sono weighed in at 139 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Cody Fuani, and the three ringside judges are Lehlohonolo Cardoso, Khalon Cardoso and Ollie Rensburg.
