Paul Flynn vs Tommy McCrady

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Frank Gym, Manchester,  taking place on 31/08/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Paul Flynn (2 - 0) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Tommy McCrady(1 - 2) from Glasgow, UK.  Both Flynn and McCrady weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Harvey McIver, and the three ringside judges are Louis Atkins, Paul Elliot and Henry Florian.  

Round 1: 

Flynn is looking to close the distance.  Flynn sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Flynn attempts to land a right hook, but McCrady blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
McCrady is looking to close the distance.  Flynn pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Flynn hits home with a cross.  
Flynn steps inside and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Flynn steps inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Flynn lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
McCrady quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Flynn connects with a left hook.  Flynn ties up his opponent.  Flynn pushes his forearm into McCrady's face.  The referee warns Flynn and breaks the clinch.  Flynn attempts to land a left hook, but McCrady sidesteps and counters with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Flynn pivots from in front of his opponent.  Flynn lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Flynn ties up his opponent.  Flynn leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

McCrady lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
Flynn lands a straight 1 - 2.  
McCrady is looking to close the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  McCrady throws a right hook, but Flynn holds on to his opponent.  Flynn leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Flynn is on target with a jab.  
McCrady gets on the inside.  Flynn voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  McCrady is whaling away with hooks, but Flynn keeps his defence tight.  
McCrady is on target with a left hook.  
Flynn advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Flynn advances into close range and is on target with a left hook.  
Flynn lands with a ramrod jab.  
McCrady is looking to close the distance.  Flynn connects with a right hook.  
Flynn closes the distance.  McCrady throws a right hook, but Flynn clinches his opponent.  Flynn is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...McCrady's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  McCrady's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  McCrady's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
