Lee Jernigan vs Robert Neale

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at International Convention Centre Hall 4, Birmingham,  taking place on 08/09/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Lee Jernigan (6 - 0) who hails from London, UK and Robert Neale(3 - 11(1) - 3) from Bradford, UK.  Jernigan weighed in at 147 pounds, while Neale weighed in at 146 pounds and 4 ounces.  
The referee tonight is William McCorkel, and the three ringside judges are Angus Heriot, Chris MacGibbon and Robert Bevans.  

Round 1: 

Jernigan lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.

Jernigan gets on the inside.  Jernigan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Neale throws a right hook, but Jernigan ties up his opponent.  Jernigan pushes his forearm into Neale's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Jernigan about fouling.  
Jernigan lands with a spiteful jab.  
Neale closes the distance.  Jernigan lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  Jernigan ties up his opponent.  Jernigan throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee warns Jernigan and breaks the clinch.
