Mick Malcom vs Ricky Pantaleon

Boxing Daily Report from the Rattlesnake Promotions promoted show at Rattlesnake Gym, Arlington,  taking place on 31/08/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Mick Malcom (9 - 0) who hails from Sacremento, USA and Ricky Pantaleon(1 - 1) from Jacksonville, USA.  Malcom weighed in at 174 pounds And 7 ounces, while Pantaleon weighed in at 174 pounds And 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is David Smyth, and the three ringside judges are Amon East, Paul Mings and Paul Mings.  

Round 1: 

Pantaleon connects with a right hook.  
Pantaleon steps inside.  Malcom sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Malcom hits home with a left hook.  
Malcom lands a right uppercut.

Malcom steps inside.  Malcom lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  As Malcom tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Pantaleon dabs at his face checking for damage.  Pantaleon has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused a minor cut  the right eye.  .  
Malcom is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Malcom feints a cross, and then lands with a ramrod jab.  
Malcom is looking to close the distance and hits home with a right hook.  
Malcom cuts off the ring, trapping Pantaleon in the blue corner.  Malcom pivots to the side of his opponent.  Pantaleon is on target with a right hook.  
Malcom tries to step out of his opponents range.  Pantaleon tries to land an overhand right, but Malcom blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Malcom steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Malcom steps inside.  Malcom quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Malcom is on target with a right hook.  
Malcom pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a ramrod jab.  
Malcom closes the distance.  Malcom pivots to the left of his opponent and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Malcom tries to step out of his opponents range.  Malcom feints a right hook, and then lands a cross to the body followed by a overhand left to the head.

Malcom throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the punch.  Malcom clinches his opponent.  Malcom tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Pantaleon's kidney. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Malcom walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Malcom lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Malcom wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Pantaleon dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Malcom is looking to keep his distance and lands a straight 1 - 2.  He then lands a cross to the body followed by a overhand left to the head.  
Malcom walks Pantaleon onto the ropes.  Malcom pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Malcom pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Malcom backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Pantaleon is whaling away with hooks, but Malcom keeps his defence tight.  
Malcom connects with a left hook.  
Pantaleon tries to land a left uppercut, but Malcom sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Malcom lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Malcom hits the target with a spiteful jab.  
Malcom lands a cross.  
Malcom is looking to keep his distance and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Malcom closes the distance and lands a right uppercut, left hook and a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Malcom digs in a right uppercut to Pantaleon's ribs.  
Malcom is looking to close the distance and lands two right hooks followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Malcom holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Malcom pushes his forearm into Pantaleon's face.  The ref breaks Malcom's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
