Joaquin Menendez vs Esteban Villanueva

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Colombia-Antioquia promoted show at Universidad EAFIT, Medellin,  taking place on 17/09/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Colombia Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on CARACOL, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Joaquin Menendez (12(4) - 1) who hails from Barranquilla, Colombia and Esteban Villanueva(13 - 2) from Medellin, Colombia.  Both Menendez and Villanueva weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Alejandro Rayo, and the three ringside judges are Vicente Cara, Lorenzo Sarinana and Diego Loria.
