Vicente Barahona vs Fidel Carrero

Boxing Daily Report from the Wonani Promotions promoted show at Angel Frias Gym, Guayaquil,  taking place on 17/09/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ecuador-Guayas Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Vicente Barahona (6 - 1 - 1) who hails from Duran, Ecuador and Fidel Carrero(13 - 3) from Guayaquil, Ecuador.  Both Barahona and Carrero weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Luis Cantero, and the three ringside judges are Alfonso Cilia, Jesus Luy and Vicente Tamez.  

Round 1: 

Barahona closes the distance.  Barahona pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a right uppercut.  
Carrero feints a left hook, but Barahona does not fall for it and lands with a right uppercut.
