Tim Reece vs Plesser Gabet

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Frank Gym, Manchester,  taking place on 31/08/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Tim Reece (9 - 0 - 1(NC)) who hails from Bradford, UK and Plesser Gabet(1 - 1 - 2) from Amsterdam, Netherlands.  Reece weighed in at 114 pounds and 11 ounces, while Gabet weighed in at 114 pounds and 1 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Paul Elliot, and the three ringside judges are Harvey McIver, Louis Atkins and Henry Florian.  

Round 1: 

Reece is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Reece digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.

Reece lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Reece ties up his opponent.  Reece leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Reece is on target with a right hook.  
Reece manouvers Gabet into a neutral corner.  Reece lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Reece gets on the inside and hits home with a stinging left hook.  
Reece advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Gabet is looking to close the distance.  Reece pivots from in front of his opponent and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Reece throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Gabet closes the distance and walks Reece down, trapping him on the ropes.  Reece lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Reece clinches his opponent.  Reece is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Reece.

Reece tries to land a right hook, but Gabet sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Reece throws a right hook, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Reece holds on to his opponent.  Reece tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Gabet behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Reece to stop fouling.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Gabet's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Gabet's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Reece lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Reece steps inside and lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  
Reece closes the distance and is on target with a stinging right hook.  
Reece hits home with a right hook.  
Reece pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.
