David Edwards vs James McIntyre

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Frank Gym, Manchester,  taking place on 31/08/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are David Edwards (10 - 0) who hails from London, UK and James McIntyre(3 - 3) from Southampton, UK.  Both Edwards and McIntyre weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Louis Atkins, and the three ringside judges are Harvey McIver, Paul Elliot and Henry Florian.  

Round 1: 

Edwards lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
McIntyre throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Edwards lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
McIntyre is looking to close the distance.  Edwards digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Edwards pivots to the left of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Edwards lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Edwards quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as McIntyre dabs at his face checking for damage.  McIntyre has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.
